Terms of Service for UltiLines

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the UltiLines mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

UltiLines is a mobile application designed for Ultimate frisbee coaches and players to:

  • Manage team rosters with player information
  • Build and optimize lines for games
  • Track game statistics in real-time
  • Generate game reports and export data
  • Sync data across devices via cloud storage

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must create an account using Google or Apple sign-in to use the App
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain account security

3.3 Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time by contacting us
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy

4. User Content and Data

4.1 Your Data

  • You retain all ownership rights to the data you create in the App (rosters, games, statistics)
  • You grant us a license to store, process, and sync your data solely to provide the App's functionality
  • You are responsible for maintaining backups of your important data

4.2 Prohibited Content

You agree NOT to use the App to store or transmit:

  • Illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Content that violates any third-party rights
  • Malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Spam or unsolicited messages

4.3 Data Accuracy

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter into the App
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on data in the App
  • Game statistics and reports are provided "as-is" for informational purposes

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or our servers
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm another person
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the App
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
  • Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 App Ownership

  • The App and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by UltiLines
  • The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
  • These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the App

6.2 License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download and install the App on your personal devices
  • Use the App for your personal, non-commercial use
  • This license is subject to your compliance with these Terms

6.3 Trademarks

  • "UltiLines" and the UltiLines logo are trademarks
  • You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services for authentication and data storage:

  • Google OAuth: Subject to Google's Terms of Service
  • Apple Sign In: Subject to Apple's Terms of Service
  • Supabase: Subject to Supabase's Terms of Service

Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of data or statistics
  • Warranties that defects will be corrected

You use the App at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are NOT liable for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App (which is currently $0)
  • These limitations apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages

9.1 Specific Limitations

We are NOT responsible for:

  • Loss of data due to device failure, uninstallation, or account deletion
  • Sync failures or delays in cloud synchronization
  • Decisions made based on statistics or reports from the App
  • Any injuries or damages that occur during Ultimate frisbee games or practices

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UltiLines and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your data or content stored in the App

11. Data Backup and Loss

11.1 Cloud Sync

  • The App provides cloud sync as a convenience feature
  • We make reasonable efforts to maintain data integrity
  • We are NOT responsible for data loss due to sync failures

11.2 Your Responsibility

  • You are responsible for maintaining backups of critical data
  • You can export data as CSV files from the App
  • We recommend regularly exporting important game data

12. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time
  • Update the App with new features or bug fixes
  • Change or remove features without notice

We are not liable for any modifications or discontinuation of the App.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
  • Posting a notice in the App
  • Sending an email notification (if we have your contact information)

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of The United States Of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the courts of Oregon, United States Of America.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and UltiLines regarding the App.

19. App Store Terms

19.1 Apple App Store

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and UltiLines, not Apple
  • Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App
  • Apple is not responsible for any product liability claims
  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms

19.2 Google Play Store

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, you acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and UltiLines, not Google
  • Google has no obligation to provide support for the App
  • Google is not responsible for the App or its content

20. Export Control

You may not use or export the App except as authorized by United States law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App was obtained.
